Fullkrug ‘may never start again’ for West Ham amid latest transfer update
Niclas Fullkrug will surely go down as an expensive failed signing for West Ham.
Despite arriving at the London Stadium with high hopes, Fullkrug’s time at West Ham has been nothing short of a living nightmare.
The German has made just nine appearances, and only started three of those, despite the fact we are approaching the mid-point in March.
Now 32 years old, Fullkrug is still sidelined with an injury that is expected to keep him out until some stage in this month, though given the fact he has spent over two months injured, its unlikely that he will come back into contention immediately.

Tammy Abraham update could spell the end for Fullkrug
With it recently reported by TEAMtalk that Tammy Abraham is keen on a switch back to the Premier League, it has opened the door for his transfer to West Ham.
Which in turn, could force Fullkrug out the door and put and end to his nightmare stay at the London Stadium.
With 11 games to be played this season, there is a high likelihood that Fullkrug won’t be fit enough to start the majority, if not all, of the remaining games, and if a deal for Abraham is pursued, it certainly won’t be to see him play backup to the German.
For several years now, the Irons have failed to address the growing concerns in the striker department, though the addition of Abraham would go a long way towards doing that, given his previous record in England.
Tammy Abraham | Appearances | Goals |
Chelsea | 82 | 30 |
Aston Villa | 40 | 26 |
Swansea | 39 | 8 |
Bristol City | 48 | 26 |
As for now, the focus will be on the pitch, and Graham Potter needs to find a way to get the best out of the attacking options he has heading into a clash with Newcastle United.

West Ham have clear priority in the summer
With the lack of form in Evan Ferguson and the injuries elsewhere, Potter really has had his hands tied behind his back when it comes to selecting an attacking lineup.
However, if that concern continues through to the next season, it would represent a massive failure for the hierarchy, and they simply can’t afford it.
Whether it’s Abraham or not, the first body through the door simply has to be a striker.
