Fabrizio Romano shares Arsenal guarantee in transfer saga to sign West Ham United star Declan Rice
Arsenal will not stop until they land West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian journalist posted to his official Twitter (20 June) that the Gunners’ pursuit of Rice will continue as he remains the club’s number one target.
West Ham turned down another bid for their star man from Arsenal on 20 June with the offer reportedly worth £75million and £15million in add-ons – which would be a club-record transfer deal for Mikel Arteta’s side.
This rejected bid however shows no signs of slowing Arsenal’s hunt for Rice down, as per Romano.
“Arsenal will bid again for Declan Rice as plans remain clear: he’s top target and the club wants to get it done,” he wrote.
“Timing of new bid not clear yet but it’s guaranteed that Arsenal won’t stop on this one.”
Good news
The fact that Arsenal have no plans of stopping in their pursuit of Rice can only be viewed as good news by David Sullivan and the West Ham board.
If Arsenal are determined to land Rice and prepare to return with another bid, it means that the value of the offers will only continue to increase as they push closer and closer towards the £100million mark.

This determination clearly shows the level of player Arteta believes the 24-year-old to be and just how much of a difference he feels that he can make to his side next season and beyond.
With the guarantee that Arsenal won’t stop on this one, it hands the power over to West Ham who can now stand firm and continue to test the resolve of the North London club.
It is hard to imagine that the English international won’t be lining up in an Arsenal kit next season however it certainly won’t be for a cheap fee.
