Edin Dzeko refusal to join West Ham United can be blessing in disguise
Inter Milan striker Edin Dzeko is not interested in moving to West Ham United this season, according to a report published by Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb on June 23.
The Hammers have been in the market to sign a striker in order to bolster their attacking options ahead of the next campaign.
However, as per the latest report, the 36-year-old is not keen on leaving Inter after just one season despite interest from the likes of West Ham and Spanish club Valencia.

It also states that Dzeko will only change his decision if he will be approached by a club like Juventus.
Blessing in disguise
By the look of it, the news might be a bad one that one of the targets for West Ham has turned down their approach for a move to the London Stadium.
However, in all essence, it is a blessing in disguise because the Hammers must look for younger options if they want to move ahead and compete with the likes of Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Arsenal for a spot in the top six.

Even though Dzeko has a lot of experience playing in the Premier League for Manchester City as well as the Serie A, but at the age of 36, he is at the twilight of his career and it is not certain whether he will be able to compete at the highest level in arguably the toughest league on the planet.
In the previous campaign, the Bosnia striker represented Nerazzurri in 49 matches across all competitions where he managed to score 17 goals and provided 10 assists [Transfermarkt].
This is a blessing, and the Irons must be much smarter in this window.
