Celtic to come calling for David Moyes after West Ham United development in last 24 hours
West Ham lifted the UEFA Conference League last night, and just hours after the triumph, speculation on head coach David Moyes’ future is already in full swing.
The European success marked the first major trophy of Moyes’ career after over 20 years in management and it is being reported that Celtic could look to make a move for the Scot following the departure of Ange Postecoglou to Tottenham.
West Ham hero Tony Cottee believes the 60-year-old has earned the right to make his own decision on his future with a year left on his deal at the London Stadium.

Cottee reportedly said, “You know the person I was most pleased for was David Moyes, because he has unfairly come under criticism from the fans. Moyesy has earned the right to make the decision himself.
“I am sure Celtic will come calling but it is going to be his choice now, which I think is the correct decision.”

Whatever Moyes decides regarding his future, he will forever be regarded as a legend of the club and arguably their greatest-ever manager after last night’s Conference League victory.
The trophy lift brought to an end a 43-year wait for a major honour as Moyes etched himself in the club’s history books.
However, the veteran manager may now perhaps feel that he has achieved all he can with the East London club and a switch to the Scottish league and a new challenge may appeal to the former Celtic player.
But with West Ham now competing in the Europa League next season, and after so narrowly missing out on the final of that competition just a year ago, Moyes may feel he perhaps has unfinished business.
Either way, the manager has certainly earned the right to enjoy this victory, take his time with the decision, and ultimately do what he feels is best for his career.
In other West Ham news, the club is reportedly leading the race to sign relegated star.
