Big chance for Ruslan Malinovskyi to impress West Ham United as January exit on the cards
Ruslan Malinovskyi should be looking to make a big impression for Atalanta against Eintracht Frankfurt on Friday [9 December] with West Ham among other clubs keen to sign him.
According to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport [9 December, page 10], the Serie A club are looking to sell him, with the club aiming to receive around £13m for the player.
The Ukraine international has been described by the famous pink newspaper as a “sloth”. He is expected to play against the German side and a strong performance could attract potential suitors.

Calciomercato reported on 13 September that the player is unhappy at the Serie A club this season and he is ready for a permanent move in January.
According to French journalist Ignazio Genuardi [via Twitter, 8 December], the Hammers have entered the race to sign the attacking midfielder but could face competition from London rivals Tottenham.
Malinovskyi is a creative midfielder who has over 390 appearances in his career, scoring 85 goals. This is his fourth season with Atalanta. He has managed over 140 appearances for them, scoring 30 goals.

He was once the hero at the club, but the midfielder is no longer “untouchable”, and the Hammers can get him at a decent price in the January window.
David Moyes should be looking to bolster his midfield, and Malinovskyi will add quality and experience to the side.
West Ham scouts should be taking keen interest in this particular game and take down necessary points. This is a big chance for him to make a big impact ahead of his potential January exit.
