Craig Bellamy is fast emerging as a possible candidate to replace Nuno Espirito Santo at West Ham United, whenever that day arrives.

The 47-year-old is currently into the third year of his four-year contract with Wales.

Bellamy's future was Wales boss was recently called into doubt amid some bad results and links with the Burnley job.

Speaking earlier this week, Bellamy revealed he turned down big money to stay in the role - likely from Burnley.

James Collins has backed Bellamy to manage West Ham at some point, having spent time at Upton Park as a player.

And it appears it is a job the former fiery forward would love to take on one day.

What's now been said about Craig Bellamy and West Ham job?

Nuno is not under immediate pressure at West Ham after recovering from a slow start to the season.

The Portuguese has two years left to run on his London Stadium contract and will likely get the chance to see that through if West Ham go up.

But that has not stopped speculation over who West Ham's next manager could be.

As per a report from Hammers News on Sunday, Bellamy is "highly rated inside the corridors of power at West Ham".

Bellamy is said to have already privately indicated he would like the Hammers job in the future.

The report also states how Bellamy's admission last week that he rejected bigger money elsewhere was a "significant detail".

West Ham previously considered hiring the Cardiff native when Nuno's future was up in the air earlier this year.

What scenario could see Nuno sacked at West Ham?

Again, unlike just a few months back, there is no real speculation over Nuno's future.

West Ham look good value to return to the Premier League at the first chance.

However, football can quickly change, which Nuno himself will be aware of more than anyone.

If at any stage it looks as though automatic promotion is starting to look unlikely for the Irons, those high up could get trigger happy.

Only then will speculation over the next West Ham manager really start to ramp up.
