Wolves ‘would be keen’ on unnamed West Ham United player

Wolves “would be keen” to sign an unnamed West Ham United player as well as Craig Dawson, according to talkSPORT’s transfer expert, Alex Crook.

Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth revealed (via Twitter, 10 January) Julen Lopetegui’s side are back in for the 32-year-old defender having previously shown interest in the summer.

Crook has since suggested the Hammers’ Premier League rivals are also keen on another player at the London Stadium.

“Wolves back in for Craig Dawson. Not the only West Ham United player they would be keen to sign this window,” wrote the talkSPORT journalist (personal Twitter account, 10 January).

Risky

West Ham are currently embroiled in a relegation battle and it’s somewhat risky for the club to be looking to sell some of their first-team players to a direct rival. This weekend’s clash against Wolves promises to be a tense affair, with just one point separating the two sides.

Southampton and Everton are also facing off at Goodison Park which means this could be a vital period in the fight to avoid relegation. Wolves have been slightly improved under Lopetegui but there’s still a good opportunity for the Hammers to pick up three points.

West Ham

The previous performances against Brentford and Leeds have been much improved and if the Hammers can continue this small purple patch, they have a good chance of leaving the Black Country with all three points. The pressure is still on David Moyes, but there have been signs of the Irons turning a corner in recent weeks.

Let’s hope for another positive performance at Molineux on Saturday (14 January).
