Wolves willing to pay £10million to sign West Ham striker Michail Antonio

Wolves are reportedly ready to part ways with £10million if they are to secure the services of West Ham striker Michail Antonio.

According to Sun journalist Alan Nixon [16 January], the Hammers are not considering pushing out the 32-year-old despite interest from their Premier League rivals.

West Ham are lining up a move for Terem Moffi as well as David Moyes wants attacking reinforcements this month.

Via his Patreon, Nixon wrote, “The lure of the Premier League and a lucrative contract should sway Moffi to head for London.

“It is a huge sum to pay and could set up the exit of Michail Antonio who is wanted by Wolves in a £10million raid.

“Antonio won’t be pushed out but the extra arrival may make it hard for him to get a start.”

Cash in

The Hammers find themselves in a glorious position in which they can get up to £10million for a player like Antonio who’s well past his best.

In the summer, David Moyes wanted to sign Gianluca Scamacca as he wanted to ease out the injury-prone Jamaican and make the Italian striker his forward for the coming years.

While Scamacca is still adapting to life in the Premier League, if they’re getting a good amount of money at Antonio, they’d be foolish to say no to it.

West Ham fans will surely remember Antonio for all the good times at the club, but even the staunchest of fans of Jamaican will admit that his time at the club is over.

Hopefully, Wolves follow up with their interest and end up tabling a substantial bid for the 32-year-old and Moyes must not come in the way of this sale.

He’s not been making many right decisions of late and keeping Antonio will be deemed as another bad one for him.

Chelsea were even considering a move for the 32-year-old but they did not end up signing him.
