Wolves want to sign Michail Antonio from West Ham United, Julien Lopetgui really wants him
Wolves have earmarked West Ham striker Michail Antonio as one of their prime targets for January, as reported by talkSPORT (10 January).
The struggling Premier League side are also reportedly considering a move to sign Hammers defender Craig Dawson in the January window [Dharmesh Sheth, Twitter, 10 January].
Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui feels that Antonio could improve his side’s attack as they look to climb out of the relegation zone.
Never
It’s not going to happen, forget about it.
While Wolves have a chance to sign Dawson this month, they have got no chance to sign Antonio.
The 32-year-old striker has been with the Hammers since 2015 and he has made over 250 appearances, scoring 66 goals.
He was the club’s only striker in the previous two seasons as he shouldered the onerous burden of scoring.

This season, Antonio has been properly handled by David Moyes, considering his age. He has made seven starts in the league, and a further 10 appearances have come from the bench.
Despite the arrival of Gianluca Scamacca, he is still a key player for the club.
The former Nottingham Forest striker has scored four goals in all competitions.
Antonio has a contract at the London Stadium until 2024, and the club have the option to extend it by another year.
Wolves will have to come up with a really good offer to sign Antonio, but even then Moyes would be reluctant to lose him. It’s not easy to get a striker in January, and the Hammers could be in real trouble if they fail to land someone as his replacement.
