Wolves v West Ham preview: Team news, where to watch, prediction

West Ham United travel to Molineux Stadium on Tuesday as they aim to get back to winning ways in the Premier League.

Graham Potter’s side are without a victory in their past two matches following a draw against Everton and a loss against Newcastle United in their previous outings.

Midweek games have proven to be a strength of West Ham’s lately as they have won each of their last three Premier League games in midweek.

The Hammers could climb up to 14th in the table with a victory on 1 April, too, as they are currently level on points with Everton and Tottenham above them.

Wolves v West Ham preview

The Irons have struggled for consistency throughout the season, and that has been reflected in their recent run of results under Potter.

West Ham have been able to pull away from the relegation zone though, which takes the pressure off the squad and should allow a level of freedom when it comes to the final nine games of the season.

Wolves have had similar problems to their opponents and have particularly struggled from a defensive perspective, which is why they have also been fighting at the bottom of the table throughout this campaign.

Goals should be expected in this fixture as Wolves’ fixtures have led to the joint-most of any club, along with Tottenham, which should provide some entertainment for fans.

It’s a situation the likes of Jarrod Bowen will attempt to expose as West Ham’s attacking qualities could thrive here.

Team News

West Ham will continue to struggle with their attacking options due to Michail Antonio and Niclas Fullkrug being out of action with long-term injury problems.

Crysencio Summerville is also unavailable for Potter due to a hamstring issue, while he will be without Vladimir Coufal as well due to the same problem.

Wolves will be missing their star man Matheus Cunha due to a suspension, which will weaken Wolves’ attacking options for this match.

Enso Gonzalez and Leon Chiwome are also unavailable this weekend due to cruciate ligament injuries that they’re both recovering from.

Where to watch?

Wolves vs West Ham is not a televised game on Tuesday. Highlights will be available to watch via Sky Sports shortly after full-time.

Prediction: Wolves 1-1 West Ham

This is likely going to be a close game between two teams fighting in the bottom half of the Premier League table.

Wolves and West Ham both believe they have done enough to avoid relegation at this point, but it isn’t mathematically guaranteed yet, which makes this an important fixture.

Neither team will want to suffer a defeat at this stage in the season, and that slightly cautious approach could lead to a low-scoring draw.
