Wolves lead West Ham United in race to sign Viktor Gyokeres as update shared live on air
Wolves are leading West Ham in the race to sign Coventry striker Viktor Gyokeres, according to Sky Sports News.
Crystal Palace are also reportedly interested in the 24-year-old, who joined Coventry from Brighton in 2021, initially on loan before a permanent move.
The Sweden international scored 21 goals from his 46 Championship matches this season to help his club secure a playoff spot.

“Wolves are interested in signing Coventry striker Viktor Gyokeres,” said Sky Sports News presenter Bela Shah, as relayed by Football Daily.
“One source has told Sky Sports News they are the leading club in the Premier League for his signature this summer. There are no ongoing negotiations to sign the player yet, however.
“We know that Crystal Palace and West Ham are also thought to be admirers of Gyokeres.”
Huge talent
It’s clear to see why several top English clubs are chasing the signature of Gyokeres this summer, with the forward banging in goals for fun this season.
Whether or not Gyokeres can make the huge step up from the Championship to the Premier League remains to be seen, with many in his position trying and failing over the years.
But he could look to the likes of Ivan Toney and Ollie Watkins, with both strikers enjoying superb scoring campaigns in the top flight having played in the Championship not so long ago.
There is, of course, the very real possibility that Gyokeres will be playing Premier League football next season anyway, with Coventry securing a spot in the Championship playoffs.
They have, however, been handed a tough test first up against Middlesbrough, but star striker Gyokeres could continue his fine scoring run to help promote his club.
The Hammers could certainly do with more attacking firepower having failed to hit the back of the net as often as they would have liked this season.
