West Ham yet to reach Basel asking price for striker Arthur Cabral
West Ham are still in the race to sign FC Basel striker Arthur Cabral but they are facing increased pressure with Corinthians trying to get a deal done.
According to GOAL, the Brazilian top division club are hoping to wrap up a deal worth £12.5million by partner with another company to provide the budget required.
They also claim that Cabral’s own agent and “staff” are helping in their search for a partner in order to get the deal over the line this month.

GOAL claim that a European club is likely to match Basel’s valuation of Cabral in the summer transfer window if he is still at the Swiss club come the end of January.
Worth a shot
£12.5million isn’t exactly a lot to a Premier League side these days and especially for a striker in such red-hot form.
Cabral has 14 goals in 18 Swiss Super League games and his record in the Europa Conference League is just as impressive with 13 goals in 12.

A striker is high on David Moyes’ transfer wish list this month with competition, and more importantly cover, for Michail Antonio desperately needed.
Cabral can offer both to West Ham and at 23 years of age, he should only get better in the next few years.
Hammers fans have been crying out for another striker to help ease the pressures on Antonio despite his outstanding performances for the Irons this season and Cabral is the perfect man for the job.
The price won’t scare the owners away and they certainly won’t need a partnership to fund the move, so the wait to do the deal must only be over doubts on the Hammers’ side.
In other West Ham news, an agent is working to get this four-time league winner a move away from his current club with the London Stadium a possible destination.
