West Ham will need to pay £25m for Taiwo Awoniyi from Union Berlin
West Ham United now know the price they will have to pay for Union Berlin striker Taiwo Awoniyi, according to The Sun.
The 24-year-old is having a sensational season in the Bundesliga having scored a massive 16 goals already along with five crucial assists.
The Irons have expressed an interest in him already, as have Newcastle United, but the club from Germany’s capital are demanding a hefty price tag for his services.

Union Berlin will ask for £25-30million for the former Liverpool forward, who they only signed last summer for £6million, if they are to let him leave the club.
It is understood that 10% of that fee will be owed to the Merseyside club too which could be a reason as to why such a big price has been put on his head.
Too much
West Ham have a starting striker already in Michail Antonio so all they really need is a competent backup to the Jamaican.
Awoniyi could be exactly that for David Moyes but why on earth would the club pay up to £30million for someone to sit on the bench?

The Irons already have Armstrong Okoflex and Sonny Perkins emerging from the academy who could don the bibs each week and play the occasional game when the 31-year-old needs a break.
The only reason why Moyes might be tempted to splash the cash on the 24-year-old would be if he is considering a formation change where he’d play with two strikers.
But given how well the 4-2-3-1 has worked for him, it would seem a baffling decision to move away from it just for the sake of one new signing.
In other West Ham news, there is a Sevilla attacker also on the Irons’ radar for a summer move.
