West Ham will be weighing up Nat Phillips option against other targets
West Ham will be weighing up a move for Liverpool centre-back Nat Phillips against other targets in the position, according to ExWHUemployee.
The reliable Hammers insider claimed on the West Ham Way Patreon on Wednesday morning (26 January) that the 24-year-old has told the Reds that he would like to leave Anfield this month, and he is expected to cost around £14million.
Phillips’ dad shares a good relationship with David Moyes, but whether that would have any impact on a potential deal remains to be seen.

Advantage?
The former Bolton Wanderers man is yet to feature in the Premier League for Jurgen Klopp’s men this season, with his only three appearances coming in the Champions League and League Cup.
Given how impressive he was for them during their injury crisis at the back last term, Phillips knows he deserves better than a place on the bench, and it is why he is keen to leave.
That should hand West Ham an advantage, but whether they are ready to part with £14million is unknown.
With Angelo Ogbonna out of the season, David Moyes wants a solid option alongside Kurt Zouma in the heart of the defence, and neither Issa Diop nor Craig Dawson has proven themselves.

Phillips is a top quality defender as they come, and he can help West Ham to a top-four finish like he did with Liverpool last term.
Joining a team playing in Europe would appeal to him, and while they are not as big as the Reds, he knows he can get a chance to play regularly and join the exciting project that is ongoing at the London Stadium.
