West Ham want to sign Nice attacker Amine Gouiri
West Ham United are in the hunt to sign 22-year-old OGC Nice striker Amine Gouiri this summer, according to CalcioMercato.
The France Under-21 international is enjoying a wonderful season on the Riviera with 10 goals and seven assists to his name in Ligue 1 this season.
He has found another level since joining the Eagles from Lyon in 2020 and is close to passing last season’s tally of 12 league goals already with Nice up in third.

With 17 goals and assists this season, he is only behind Monaco’s Wissam Ben Yedder and PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe in the entire division.
Calcio Mercato claims that Newcastle are also watching the 22-year-old and that PSG themselves admire his style of play.
Another Benrahma
Gouiri isn’t the natural striker that David Moyes really desires to give Michail Antonio a much-needed challenger.
He is rather another attacking midfielder who can, if required, play upfront but to play him as the number nine regularly won’t be in the plan.

He usually plays alongside another striker at Nice but drops deep to help create chances for whoever he is alongside.
He would ideally play in the number 10 position or even out on the left which is one place the Irons don’t need reinforcements all that desperately.
Said Benrahma, Pablo Fornals and Manuel Lanzini can all do those roles already but Gouiri is a different prospect.
Had he not been so prolific over the past two seasons, then Moyes would be staying well away but signing him could see a new formation utilised to get him and Antonio as a pair.
The rumours might worry the trio of attackers already at the London Stadium but Hammers fans should get excited about this enigmatic talent.
In other West Ham news, the London Stadium could host Champions League football this season with UEFA holding off on a big decision.
