West Ham want to sign Fiorentina striker Christian Kouame – report
West Ham United are heavily linked with a move for Fiorentina striker Christian Kouame, according to Corriere dello Sport print edition (page 23).
The Ivory Coast international was close to signing for Crystal Palace in the past but injured himself and the Eagles dropped their interest in a potential move [Alfredo Pedulla].
Now, it looks like the Hammers are ready to give the striker a second chance to play in the Premier League.

Despite being from Fiorentina, Kouame spent his last season on loan with Belgian club Anderlecht where he was instrumental in the team’s success.
Worth every penny
If West Ham fans want to believe the words of former Manchester City defender Vincent Kompany about Kouame, they would feel that the striker is worth every penny.
In the recently concluded season, the Ivory Coast international scored eight goals and provided five assists across 25 appearances. He played 75% of the overall minutes for Anderlecht and contributed to 20% of their goals in the Belgian League [Transfermarkt].
The 24-year-old doesn’t only score goals but also become a source of scoring goals for his teammates as well.

West Ham must not mess around with their striker’s position as they are playing in Europe again next season.
With four domestic competitions on the horizon, having just one recognized striker in Michael Antonio would be a suicidal move by David Moyes.
It is unclear about the potential names that they have been linked with for their striker’s position but it is important that they monitor the situation around Kouame closely.
