West Ham want long-term Manchester United target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to replace Declan Rice
West Ham reportedly want Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, a long-term Manchester United target to replace Declan Rice over the summer.
According to the Sun [18 February], he has been priced out of moves to the Premier League in the past, but he’s been on the radar of the Old Trafford outfit for a long time and is now the priority at the London Stadium.
David Moyes sees him as a replacement to Declan Rice, who is understood to have given his word to Arsenal over a summer transfer.

Audacious
Forbes claim that he had been touted for a move to Manchester United for a fee in the region of £89million – identical to what they paid for Paul Pogba.
However, his valuation is understood to have dropped now as he’s in the final year of his contract.
Selling Rice will undoubtedly be the biggest in West Ham history and they will have good money to spend on replacements and to rebuild the side.

Milinkovic-Savic at 27, appears to be in his prime and in our book, would be a good option to sign but is not similar to Rice.
He tends to operate as more of a box to box player rather than a deep-lying midfielder like Rice and Lucas Paqueta also does not play that role.
However, if the plan is for a midfield three, a defensive midfielder along with Milinkovic-Savic would be an incredible option for Moyes or whoever the new manager is.
