West Ham want around £1million for Emmanuel Longelo as Nottingham table £400,000
Emmanuel Longelo’s move from West Ham to Nottingham Forest has stalled due to disagreement on valuation, according to ExWHUemployee.
The reliable Hammers insider claimed on the West Ham Way Patreon on Thursday morning (27 January) that the Championship outfit have offered around £400,000 for the left-back, 21, but the Irons want at least a million plus for his services.
Negotiations could continue, but Forest do not see Longelo as a player capable of walking straight into their starting XI, but they reckon they can develop him and are not keen on a loan move.

Fair fee
West Ham want to strengthen at left-back, and it is clear they do not see the youngster as one capable of providing competition and quality cover right now.
It is why they are open to selling, but Nottingham are far off their valuation.
Longelo made his debut for the Hammers in a 5-1 EFL Cup win against Hull City in September 2020, with his next appearance coming in the Europa League clash against Dinamo Zagreb back in December.
Despite his huge potential, the West Ham academy graduate has remained behind Aaron Cresswell, Arthur Masuaku and Ben Johnston in the pecking order, and an exit is beneficial to his development.

The Hammers would be open to a loan deal, but Forest are not keen, and they must up their bid to have any chance of getting a deal done before the January transfer window ends next Monday.
It remains to be seen whether another club will enter the race, but the Irons cannot afford to sell a player capable of blossoming into a star, and a temporary deal makes more sense.
