Writing on the wall for David Moyes West Ham United sack after Brentford loss

The writing is now on the wall for David Moyes to be sacked from West Ham United after the club’s damning defeat to Brentford on December 30, according to journalist Sam Inkersole.

Moyes and the Hammers sank to a 2-0 defeat at the London Stadium and were outfought and classed by Brentford throughout the game.

Inkersole confessed that despite doing so much for West Ham United since his return to the club, the Scots time could finally be up.

“He’s done so much for West Ham since his return to the club and should be applauded for it, but the writing is very much on the wall now,” said Inkersole on Twitter.

The journalist isn’t wrong, it’s hard to see Moyes guiding the team forward any further and the club’s hierarchy would be foolish to trust him.

West Ham

Playing with fire.

The Hammers hierarchy are playing with fire if they choose to keep Moyes as head coach of West Ham United, the club are slowly but surely sleepwalking towards relegation.

And that’s not even an exaggeration of how bad things are right now, with the squad the Hammers have, they should be doing so much better.

With talents like Declan Rice and Lucas Paqueta, it’s shocking that the Irons are somehow embroiled in a relegation scrap and something needs to change.

The obvious and right decision now is to relieve Moyes of his duties, he’s done a fantastic job up to now, but for the team to progress any further he must go.

By keeping him at the helm the club are risking everything and all this momentum the team have built up over the last few seasons would go to complete waste.

With luck, the Irons board will see what the obvious decision to make is here, Moyes simply has to leave.
