West Ham United winger Maxwel Cornet shares fitness update ahead of Nottingham Forest clash
West Ham winger Maxwel Cornet is “finally back” in training and it’s a big boost for the club ahead of their Premier League game against Nottingham Forest this weekend.
The Hammers have dropped down to the relegation zone following their 2-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur in the previous league game.
Cornet, who joined in the summer transfer window from Burnley, has barely featured for the Hammers this season due to a series of injuries.

“An injury is not always easy. After several months of absence and work, I am finally back in the field to go to the war. I have to thank all the staff who took care of me. See you soon,” wrote Cornet on Instagram.
Boost
The 26-year-old has managed only one league start this season, while another four appearances have come from the bench.
In total, he has managed just 88 minutes of Premier League action so far, and David Moyes won’t throw him into the mix straight away.
He will gradually be integrated into the side, but given Maxwel’s vast talent, he can fit in at any role.

The Hammers are also likely to get back Gianluca Scamacca and Lucas Paqueta, and they have to pick up a win here.
Moyes also need to find a way to get the best out of Danny Ings. He joined in the January transfer window from Aston Villa, but so far yet to open his scoring account.
Speculations were rife that Moyes could lose his job if West Ham continue to perform poorly, but there are now suggestions that the Hammers board is ready to stick with their manager.
Let’s hope Cornet can play a major role in the remaining few games for the club.
