West Ham United willing to let Nikola Vlasic leave in shock loan deal

West Ham United winger Nikola Vlasic could be set for a shock loan deal ahead of the 2022/23 season, according to a report by Dalmatinski on 17 June.

David Moyes is in the midst of rebuilding his squad as the east London outfit look to maintain the momentum they have gained domestically and in Europe over the last couple of seasons.

The 24-year-old only signed for the Hammers in the summer of 2021, for a sizable £27million fee from CSKA Moscow which is why it would be an awful decision to let him leave the club already.

It was a season of learning for the Croatia international who made 19 Premier League appearances with the majority of those coming from the bench.

Despite being just one year into his four-year Irons deal, Moyes is willing to let the attacker go out on loan with either Torino or Hajduk Split being potential destinations.

Once a player leaves on loan, they rarely come back and establish themselves in the squad, especially in this case – his confidence will be shot to bits.

Why would West Ham bother signing Vlasic to then let him go out on loan a mere matter of a season later?

Understandably, he has failed to make a notable impact during his time at the London Stadium but this seems a little bit rash from the cockneys.

Often it takes players a little bit of time to adjust to life in England and the Premier League but the forward hasn’t really been given much of a chance.

His league appearances aren’t really an accurate representation of the opportunity that Moyes has given him.

The majority of those have come from the bench, some with just minutes to spare which makes it virtually impossible to make an impact or build some playing rhythm.

You can see that he is a quick, tricky winger but there must be something missing that is keeping him out of the team.

Hopefully, the reports are false and he finds his feet next season because it would be a real shame if he left.
