West Ham United want Thomas Tuchel or Mauricio Pochettino as ‘dream’ appointments to replace David Moyes

West Ham United want Thomas Tuchel or Mauricio Pochettino as their “dream” appointment to replace David Moyes should he leave the club, according to the Telegraph.

Moyes is in an extremely precarious position as things stand with the Hammers sitting in the dreaded Premier League drop zone with just 15 points.

The Telegraph reports that Tuchel or Pochettino would be ideal hires for West Ham United. However, the club are aware neither would accept an offer.

West Ham

“West Ham United are deliberating over potential short and long-term replacements for David Moyes as the club agonises over his future,” as quoted by the Telegraph.

“Ideally, the club would like to give Moyes more time, but his future is in the balance ahead of the game against relegation rivals Everton on Saturday, which will be huge for both clubs.

“West Ham are now having to give consideration what to do if they are forced to make a managerial change.

“It is understood that the club are looking at short-term and long-term possibilities. Dream appointments such as Mauricio Pochettino and Thomas Tuchel are out of reach, with the club aware neither man would accept an offer.

West Ham

Judgement day.

Judgement day is now surely beckoning for Moyes and his future at the London Stadium as West Ham United boss has never looked murkier.

Yes, everyone can agree that the Scot has done a fantastic job with the Hammers but the team now needs to progress and his stale and weak tactics just aren’t working.

The club are literally sleepwalking towards a relegation scrap and something needs to drastically change to turn the Hammers season around.

Tuchel and Pochettino are the kinds of names fans want to be linked with the club but sometimes you have to be realistic in your footballing wishes and desires.

Right now, West Ham United need a head coach who can rejuvenate this failing squad and breathe life back into a team that has fallen off too badly this season.

Moyes needs to go, it’s plain and simple, the Premier League is a results business that the Scot is currently losing.
