West Ham United want to sign Sevilla goalkeeper Bono

West Ham are reportedly keen on bringing Sevilla goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, aka Bono, to London Stadium in the summer.

According to Fichajes.net [11 April], the Morocco international is growing impatient at the Spanish outfit and they’re already starting to look for replacements.

He has been labelled as “One of the best” keepers in Spain and his stock is currently at a high after his stellar performances at World Cup 2022.

Leeds United, AC Milan and Roma are the other clubs keeping tabs on him.

Not needed?

The Hammers already have two goalkeepers in Lukasz Fabianski and Alphonse Areola who are good enough to be first-choice options.

To sign another keeper, will make little sense even if one of them ends up leaving in the summer transfer window.

Areola has proven that he deserves to be the number one and if perhaps there was another manager in charge instead of David Moyes, that would’ve happened already.

Bono is a good keeper and has proven it at the World Cup as well but he’s not what West Ham need to be spending money on.

Right now, they need to focus on replacing Moyes at the helm and Ian Wright and Alan Shearer are also in agreement over the recent performances.

No new player must be signed until they’ve made their final decision as different managers have different playing styles and not all will fit into their philosophies.
