West Ham United want to sign Scott McTominay but Manchester United refuse to sell
West Ham are one of the clubs vying for the signature of Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay, according to a report from 90 Min.
The Hammers have made an approach to sign the 26-year-old midfielder, who has made 132 appearances in the Premier League for the Red Devils since making his debut in 2016.
Despite David Moyes’ attempt to raid his former club, United have rejected the advance and they have made it clear that the Scottish midfielder won’t be sold, either on loan or permanently this month.

Long-term plans
McTominay has struggled for regular games under Erik ten Hag.
He has been a regular player for the Red Devils under previous managers at Old Trafford, but has dropped down the pecking order at the club behind Christian Eriksen and Casemiro.
He has started in only six games in the Premier League this season, but Ten Hag clearly sees him as a big part of United’s future.
The United academy graduate is also not agitating for a move, and he is quite happy with his situation.

West Ham need to bolster their midfield in the summer, but they should look for options elsewhere.
Declan Rice is almost certain to leave the Hammers, unless he changes his heart. Likewise, the club need to make a bold transfer decision on Tomas Soucek who has been dreadful this season.
Despite spending over £150 million in the summer transfer window, Moyes feels the need to add more players to his squad this month in various positions.
The Hammers are struggling badly in the Premier League and they are just one place above the relegation zone.
