West Ham United want to sign Poland World Cup star Jakub Kiwior as Juventus hold ace up their sleeve
West Ham United want to sign Polish World Cup star Jakub Kiwior in a race that is set to become crowded with numerous teams vying for his signature, according to Italian newspaper Tuttosport.
The Spezia defender is being chased by AC Milan, Napoli and Juventus, but it is the Old Lady of Turin that holds an ace up their sleeve in the race for the 22-year-old.
The Italian newspaper claims that Juventus will rely on the “PR work” of Wojciech Szczęsny and Arkadiusz Milik who both play alongside Kiwior for Poland.

“The top three in the Serie A standings are competing for the 22-year-old Polish centre-back from Spezia: Napoli, Milan and Juventus. But it is a sui generis scudetto, which West Ham is also aiming for and for which the race risks becoming very crowded if the left-footed player repeats other performances at the World Cup such as Tuesday’s against Mexico,” as quoted by tuttosport.
“The Juventus club could also count on the PR work of fellow national players Szczesny and Milik, the latter born in the same city of Kiwior, Tichy.”

Not needed.
West Ham United have no need to be in the market for another centre-back, despite the Poland international’s obvious top talents.
The summer signings of Nayef Aguerd and Thilo Kehrer have filled the Hammers’ central defensive gaps and need time to settle into the squad.
Wasting more money in January on a needless signing isn’t what David Moyes needs to be doing right now and it would be foolish for West Ham to get into a bidding war for Kiwior.
Now that’s not to say West Ham United doesn’t need new defenders at the club, a new right-back should definitely be on the agenda when the transfer window reopens.
Vladimir Coufal looks set to leave the London Stadium and Ben Johnson isn’t reaching the heights yet to compete week in, week out in the Premier League.
The Irons need to invest wisely in problem areas in January, with the club sitting just above the dreaded drop zone the team can ill-afford misplaced signings like Kiwior.
