West Ham United want to sign Hoffenheim midfielder Florian Grillitsch – report

West Ham United want to sign Hoffenheim midfielder Florian Grillitsch in the upcoming summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The newspaper has reported on their website that the Austrian international is set to be available for free with his contract expiring.

That is suggested to appeal to the Irons and GSB, as well as Everton and Arsenal in particular in the Premier League as things stand.

There are even more clubs that are interested in this deal, meaning it could really hot up once the season is over.

Leeds as well as clubs in Spain and Germany appear to have joined the race with his availability raising eyebrows across Europe.

West Ham’s success in the Europa League may turn the tide in their favour though, with a major semi-final to come in two weeks time.

West Ham

Screams GSB.

A free deal you say? GSB will be all over this like a rash.

David Moyes will want midfield reinforcements, and this would be perfect with no transfer fee required to get it over the line.

Alex Kral and Mark Noble will be moving on in the summer, leaving only Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek as starters with no backup.

Conor Coventry is likely to get his chance, but we need more experience on the bench behind our main two should either of them get injuries.

Grillitsch has consistent experience in the Bundesliga and with the Austrian national side, and now is the right time for him to show it in the Premier League.

With money being saved here, it can really be splashed on a new striker at the London Stadium, a problem area for two years now.
