West Ham United want to hire Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper to replace David Moyes amid sack decision
West Ham are interested in hiring Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper to replace David Moyes next summer, according to talkSPORT.
Writing on their official website (28 November), the radio station report that Cooper is under pressure after just one win in his last nine Premier League games at the City Ground.
Crystal Palace are also keeping an eye on Cooper should they choose to replace Roy Hodgson, with his contract and Moyes’ contract due to expire at the end of the current season.

“Crystal Palace will make a move for Steve Cooper if he leaves Nottingham Forest, talkSPORT understands,” they wrote.
“Cooper is under fresh pressure at the City Ground after a run of one win in nine Premier League games.
“Cooper is also seen as a contender to replace David Moyes at West Ham when his deal expires in the summer.”
Gamble
Moyes is a proven Premier League manager and he has done a fantastic job for the vast majority of his time at the London Stadium.
But the way he has developed the squad means that he has really taken us as far as he can with his style and pragmatism, and West Ham need to look at upgrading in the dugout to continue to push on.

While Cooper is a highly-regarded coach and has done well in his career, he’s hardly proven at the highest level and you could certainly raise big question marks about whether he is an upgrade on Moyes.
If the club have made the decision not to renew Moyes’ contract at West Ham beyond this season then the replacement has to be a guaranteed upgrade, with an attacking style and a pedigree of winning trophies otherwise there is no point.
Cooper isn’t any of those things and would represent a huge gamble at this stage, so don’t be shocked if fans aren’t particularly happy about it.
