West Ham United ‘unrest’ emerges at London Stadium after Julen Lopetegui decision
Julen Lopetegui has created “unrest” in the West Ham United changing room behind the scenes with some tactical decisions, according to Give Me Sport.
The outlet reportedly on its website on Wednesday (6 November) that the Irons boss has made last-minute alterations to his tactical instructions ahead of matches so far this season.
Some members of the Hammers squad have been left questioning the former Real Madrid boss’ leadership, with many unsure of his tactical decision-making at the London Stadium.
Lopetegui is understood to be close to losing his job after only a matter of months in charge in East London, with the Irons’ defeat to Nottingham Forest potentially the final straw [Fabrizio Romano, 3 November].
Will West Ham sack Julen Lopetegui amid London Stadium exit speculation?
It does feel as though the wheels are well and truly beginning to fall off of the Lopetegui bus following the defeat to Forest last time out.
While the former Wolves manager was never most fans’ top candidate to succeed David Moyes at the London Stadium, he has only become less and less popular among supporters after a miserable start to the campaign.
The supporters being unconvinced by the Spaniard is one thing, but the fact that the players are seeming to also be losing patience with Lopetegui is much more damning for the Hammers boss.

There is absolutely no way any manager should lose the changing room this early in their tenure. Before Lopetegui has even really got his time in East London up and running, it appears to be fizzling out.
When players stop standing by a coach, they don’t tend to last very long.
Of course, there is still a chance that Lopetegui will manage to turn things around before the November international break, but it would be an incredible surprise if he were still the Hammers boss when the season comes to an end.
