West Ham United transfer update emerges on pursuit of Juventus attacker Filip Kostic
West Ham are making a last-gasp effort to secure the services of Juventus attacker Filip Kostic ahead of the transfer deadline, according to Calciomercato.
The Italian media outlet reported on Thursday (31 August) that the door is open for fresh talks with the Serie A side for the 30-year-old Serbia international.
The Hammers are believed to want to sign a new left winger before the transfer window closes and Kostic has emerged as one of the options.

Not ideal
The signing of Mohammed Kudus opens the possibility of Jarrod Bowen playing on the left flank for West Ham.
This means that a striker and not a left winger should be targeted with less than 48 hours left in the transfer window.
Gianluca Scamacca has left and by the looks of it, Danny Ings is being shown the door too so someone to replace him is important as well.

Michail Antonio cannot be relied on to lead the line for 38 games in the season and someone experienced will need to come in.
That deal is going to cost big money but given how the summer has gone for West Ham, they can surely afford that.
It remains to be seen if Hugo Ekitike is the man they do end up signing as he would be a good fit while PSG want to sell him.
In other West Ham news, the club have now opened advanced talks with a Premier League player who appears to be open to leaving his side this summer.
