West Ham United transfer twist emerges in Manchester United ace Harry Maguire pursuit
West Ham do not have the financial package ready in order to afford the services of Manchester United defender Harry Maguire, according to Claret and Hugh.
The London Stadium linked news outlet reported on Tuesday (17 October) that while David Moyes likes him, Tim Stediten is at odds with this decision as he wants to bring in a young player.
Manchester United slapped £40million valuation of the 30-year-old, per Sky Sports, and it remains to be seen if they’re willing to renegotiate in January.

Even if the Hammers had the money they would not end up going back in for another centre-back.
It’s also not like Maguire is at the peak of his powers and has declined significantly over the past two seasons.
His confidence also appears to be shattered and he opted to stay at Old Trafford despite Moyes going on record that a bid had been in for him.
He then signed another centre-back so the ship for Maguire moving to the London Stadium has now sailed and he can continue at Old Trafford or look at other destinations.
The Hammers desperately need to bring in a new striker and funds need to be kept aside for that as Michail Antonio cannot be relied upon for the entire season.
Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen can both be tried in that role but a specialist is always needed, given how Moyes likes his team to play.
