West Ham United transfer news with Bayern Munich deal on cards for Noussair Mazraoui

West Ham are said to be among several Premier League clubs to have been alerted on the potential availability of Bayern Munich full-back Noussair Mazraoui, as reported by 90min.

The Moroccan international has struggled for game time and form since making the switch to Bavaria from Amsterdam where he starred for Ajax.

He has started just 10 times this season, in 20 appearances overall for the current Bundesliga leaders, with his last meaningful involvement coming against Augsburg in March.

That situation has led to questions on the immediate future of the Dutch-born player who could set for another move, with his representatives making moves already.

“As such, sources have told 90min that the player’s representatives have begun to gauge interest from other clubs ahead of a potential summer move,” stated the report.

“Manchester United, Newcastle United, Wolves, Arsenal, West Ham United and Crystal Palace are among the clubs to have been alerted to the Moroccan’s potential availability, and will be kept informed of his situation at Bayern Munich in the coming weeks and months.

“Outside of the Premier League, we understand that Inter, Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid have also been told about Mazraoui.”

Uncertainty ahead

Having signed a four-year deal last summer, a fee would be involved for the player, even if only on a loan basis.

With his struggles under Julian Nagelsmann continuing with Thomas Tuchel at the helm at the Allianz Arena, Mazraoui is likely to seek an exit route.

Some heavy hitters across the Premier League and Europe have been mentioned as potential destinations for the 25-year old so it will be interesting to see what transpires.

Planning for next season, including transfers, will be ongoing behind the scenes at the London Stadium at Rush Green but the uncertainty over league status will be casting a shadow.

The battle to avoid the drop into the Championship is paramount at present, with an obvious impact on the pull of the club for potential signings.

Only once the situation for next season is confirmed, can the club really push on in regards to signing targets and overall plans for the new campaign.
