West Ham United transfer news: Gianluca Scamacca wants just one club amid Roma, AC Milan and Juventus links
West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca’s preference has been detailed amid links to Roma, AC Milan and Juventus this summer.
According to Calciomercato journalist Francesco Guerrieri, the Italian only wants to move to Roma and work under Jose Mourinho.
The Hammers have rejected initial loan offers and want to make a profit on the 24-year-old they signed only last summer.
Via Twitter, Guerrieri wrote, “Scamacca only wants Roma. First offer to West Ham for a dry loan rejected, they want to earn something after paying 36M (+bonus)
“There are also in Milan and Juve. For Roma, the Morata track also remains standing.”
Can’t let him leave
West Ham cannot have two stars leaving in the same window if they are to establish themselves as one of the best of the rest.
Declan Rice’s imminent exit makes things difficult in and itself for next season and losing Scamacca would mean a rethink of their transfer strategy.
If they spent the big bucks on him last summer, surely they were willing to gamble for the long term and struggling in the Premier League in the first season is always difficult.

Scamacca may want to leave but West Ham are then well within their rights to demand a significant fee if they are to part ways with him.
Roma aren’t doing incredibly well in terms of their finances and would prefer a loan as they did with signing Leeds United defender Diego Llorente.
It remains to be seen how the Hammers deal with the interest in Scamacca with three big Italian clubs all unwilling to drop out.
In other West Ham news, an injury expert has claimed that Moyes’ physical demands could see another star player seek a London Stadium exit this summer.
