West Ham United expected to concede to Gianluca Scamacca loan exit demands in transfer window
Roma haven’t given up on signing Gianluca Scamacca on loan this summer because they are “sure” that West Ham will change their stance on a refusal, Corriere dello Sport reports.
The same publication had previously reported (25 June) that the Hammers were demanding a €35million [£30m] permanent transfer fee if they were to let the Italian leave this summer, and with that price beyond the Serie A side they had moved on to looking at Alvaro Morata.
But in the latest update it turns out that Atletico Madrid are themselves insisting on €30m [£26m] for the Spaniard, and thanks to Scamacca’s own intent on a move to the Stadio Olimpico the Italians believe the Irons can be brought around.

According to CdS: “The favourite, looking ahead, remains Gianluca Scamacca because Roma are sure that during the summer West Ham’s refusal to grant a loan may become less rigid.
“Among other things, Scamacca has also confirmed in the last few days that he favours returning home over all other possibilities.”
Hopeful
Roma chief Tiago Pinto has already been over in England at least once this summer and there appears to have been plenty of contact between the two clubs.
Just as West Ham have stood firm in the face of insufficient bids for Declan Rice up until now they appear to have been steadfast on an exit for Scamacca.
But with Arsenal now breaking the £100m barrier for the captain and Manchester City leaving the race it means one major exit seems imminent, and perhaps that huge windfall could soften their stance on a second.

Unless David Moyes doesn’t expect the former Sassuolo man to improve on his difficult first season, or he has replacements lined up to spend the Rice cash on, there seems little reason at this stage to suddenly let the £35.5m signing from last summer leave just yet.
But the landscape can change a great deal over an entire transfer window so dependent on other moves there is always the scope for a door to open.
West Ham are going to probably need more attacking options in either way so it likely depends on who they might be as to what happens with Scamacca.
The 24-year-old seems to want to go but the Irons could well still need him next term.
In other West Ham news, a wage demands update has emerged as Moyes eyes a deal for a Manchester United star.
