West Ham United transfer news: Fresh twist emerges in Boulaye Dia pursuit amid Everton and Fiorentina links
A fresh twist has emerged in the West Ham and Everton pursuit to sign Salernitana loanee and Villarreal-owned Boulaye Dia.
According to Corriere Dello Sport [21 June, Page 20], Fiorentina are willing to offer Arthur Cabral in exchange to halve Dia’s asking rate – currently at £21million.
It’s his release clause which will expire on 15 July with the Senegal international open to leaving Villarreal.

Scamacca replacement?
If Dia is willing to leave Italy, it makes a lot of sense to West Ham to pounce and secure his services.
With Everton being the only other team in the race, things will get easier as the Hammers can easily sign the player ahead of them.
The Toffees are in financial trouble and will not be able to offer the World Cup striker European football – something he’ll get at the London Stadium.

Winning the Conference League has seen the Hammers qualify for the Europa League and that could be helpful in tempting players to move to the London Stadium.
Dia is on the back of a 16-goal season and if Scamacca leaves, there’s a good reason to believe that the Senegal striker could be high up David Moyes’ wishlist.
Roma have already met Scamacca’s agents so an exit is very much on the cards this summer.
