West Ham United transfer news as Yuri Alberto approach to be made after Euro final
West Ham United are interested in signing Corinthians striker Yuri Alberto and are readying an approach after the Europa Conference League final on Wednesday [7 June], according to Goal Brasil.
The one-time Brazilian international has undergone a steady campaign for Corinthians this season, registering five goals and three assists from 25 appearances so far.
The 22-year-old signed a permanent deal with the Sao Paulo outfit before the start of the campaign which runs until 2027, with Corinthians holding 50% of his economic rights, while the rest remains with Alberto’s former club, Zenit, from Russia.

Alberto is attracting Premier League interest with Everton also interested in his services, according to Goal Brasil [7 June].
“West Ham contacted the player’s staff to gather information with a view to a future agreement.
“A proposal has not yet been made but could come after the Conference League is defined.”
Worth a look
It’s no secret that West Ham United are in desperate need of attacking reinforcements this summer, given their torrid form in the Premier League throughout the 2022/23 campaign, flirting with the relegation places.
After Wednesday’s final with Fiorentina, it is indeed set to be a busy summer for the Hammers with some big names set to depart the London Stadium and some exciting incomings also.

With the likes of Michail Antonio and Declan Rice both leaving, West Ham United will be desperate for more quality.
Alberto has emerged as something of a hot prospect in his native Brazil, so far scoring five goals and registering three assists in 25 appearances as well as 11 goals in all competitions last season.
The Brazilian market is indeed an attractive market for West Ham United to exploit, but given the pressure the club is under to secure a consistent goalscorer for next season, Alberto’s unproven nature may well present too much of a risk for them to consider.
If the Irons end up losing both Antonio and Gianluca Scamacca, but end up acquiring a highly-desirable striker target, then Alberto may be deemed a suitable and sensible signing to use as a backup for next season.
