West Ham United transfer news as Viktor Gyokeres signs up with new agent
Viktor Gyokeres has signed up with a top Swedish agent as West Ham United lead the race for the Coventry City striker, according to The Sun’s Alan Nixon.
Gyokeres, 24, has changed from his Nordic Sky representative and joined forces with Hasan Cetinkaya, who is a former professional and represents players at Manchester United and Barcelona (Nixon Patreon, 2 April).
It’s believed the Hammers are leading the race for the Swedish forward, however, a host of clubs from Europe and the Premier League will try their luck if the Sky Blues aren’t promoted.

Hotshot
Gyokeres would be a similar mould of player to Danny Ings.
A fox in the box who knows where the back of the net is. Goals have been an issue during the 2022/23 season, so if West Ham can secure their Premier League safety, this is a move the board should be looking to get over the line.

They’ve had plenty of success in the past when it comes to recruiting from the Championship, with Jarrod Bowen and Said Benrahma the most recent examples. It’s clearly something David Moyes believes in and it’s a good strategy to employ.
After the big spending from the summer of 2022, West Ham should learn from their mistakes. Thrashing out deals in excess of £50million certainly built excitement but, ultimately, it’s been a failure. Come to the end of the season they must return to what has worked in the past and be far more astute in the transfer market.
