West Ham United transfer news as Thomas Tuchel desperate to sign Declan Rice
Thomas Tuchel is said to be “desperate” to land West Ham United star Declan Rice for Bayern Munich as reported by Sport 1.
The interest of the Bavarian giants toward the England midfielder makes things very interesting for the Hammers, ahead of his likely departure from the London Stadium this summer.
The club will be very reluctant to lose Rice but his sale will secure a massive transfer fee to strengthen the squad and not before he has his shot at immortality when he leads out the Irons in the Europa Conference League final in Prague on Wednesday.

The player himself will be desperate to lift the trophy high above his head, but beyond that, the immediate future is unclear.
As well as the significant interest from Arsenal, the German giants are positioning themselves in the race to land the talented player.

Ambition
This is when things get very interesting.
All that matters over the next few days is the massive occasion in Prague. A European final that could deliver the Hammers’ first major trophy since 1980. It doesn’t get much bigger.
After that, once the dust settles, win or lose in the Czech capital, there will be plenty of focus on the future of the club captain and where his next destination will be.
A ‘safe’ move across London to Arsenal brings obvious attractions but there is plenty to like about a top club in Bayern Munich with its serious winning ambition.
That was shown last week as they retained the Bundesliga title in an unlikely fashion after Borussia Dortmund faltered, but they still sacked their CEO Oliver Kahn as well as sporting director, Hasan Salihamidžić.
The race for Rice will have a significant bearing on the summer at West Ham, with a few twists and turns to follow.
