West Ham United transfer news as talks held with Alex Scott agents
West Ham United have held talks with the agents of Bristol City midfielder Alex Scott and are weighing up a move this summer, according to the Evening Standard.
The 19-year-old has emerged as one of the hottest prospects in the country following his dominant and mature showings for the Sky Bet Championship side last season.
The English sensation has been heavily linked with a Premier League move over the past months, with The Sun revealing on 18 February that West Ham were reportedly battling it out for his signature with Crystal Palace, and Bournemouth also joining the race [Daily Mail, 12 June].

And according to the Evening Standard [20 June], Bristol City will be hoping to demand £25m for his services this summer.
Potential bargain
Considering the stark potential and current ability of the 19-year-old, it was only going to be a matter of time until Scott started luring the attention of Premier League clubs.
The teenager’s full array of talent was on display for all to see in Bristol City’s FA Cup defeat to Manchester City in February, and it seems like he is destined for the very top.

West Ham United already hold an established player brought in from the depths of the Championship and is now thriving as one of the club’s most prized assets in Jarrod Bowen, and Scott certainly holds all the capabilities to become the next household name from the English second division in East London.
Scott has earned rave reviews for his performances this season and has already featured at numerous England youth levels and could well look to be a Three Lions international in the near future if he continues on his sky-high trajectory.
West Ham United entering the fray for his signature is certainly appealing to the club bosses and fans and with the Hammers looking to dramatically evolve the playing squad for next season with many of their seasoned stars departing, Scott could well turn out to be the face of the Irons revolution.
Also, Moyes is also said to be targeting homegrown English players in the summer window, and Scott makes perfect sense given his profile.
£25m could well prove an absolute snip in the next couple of years. It’s clear the 19-year-old sensation needs a platform that will prioritise and encourage his development and learning at the top level, and there may be no better platform than West Ham United. This is a deal the Hammers should be exploring.
