West Ham United transfer news as PSV Eindhoven winger Noni Madueke update emerges

West Ham have “voiced an interest” in signing PSV Eindhoven winger Noni Madueke, according to 90min.

A host of Premier League clubs including Everton, Chelsea, Leicester, Newcastle and Crystal Palace are also vying for the signature of the 20-year-old England youth international.

Madueke moved to Eindhoven in 2018 and has since racked up 20 goals and 14 assists in 79 games. PSV do not want to sell, but they would listen to offers at around the £35m mark.

Unlikely

Madueke has just recovered from an ankle injury that kept him out for 18 games, and a host of clubs have been tracking the winger.

The Hammers could offer him a route back to England, but it looks unlikely at the moment.

Having spent over £150m on new players in the summer transfer window, chances are very less that David Moyes will be given a hefty transfer kitty to bring players of his choice.

West Ham

Moyes has done a terrific job at the club, but he is under tremendous pressure at the moment. The club lie 17th in the league table and Moyes is struggling to get the best out of the summer signings.

In such a scenario, the Hammers board could be reluctant to help Moyes with more money in winter, especially for someone who is so young and relatively unproven.

The Hammers probably will continue to monitor his development, and they have a better chance of signing him next summer. With PSV reluctant to sell, a move in Jan looks unrealistic.
