West Ham United transfer news as Nayef Aguerd update emerges amid Saudi Arabia links
West Ham defender Nayef Aguerd is waiting to be tempted by an offer from Saudi Arabia amid interest being shown in his services, according to Goal.
The football news outlet wrote in its Arabic version on Monday (4 September) that Al-Ittihad are willing to hike his salary 10 times in order to sign him.
It’s been reported that this offer is accepted by the 27-year-old Morocco international but the obstacle is that the Hammers are unwilling to let him go.

Surely not
Aguerd is not going to be leaving the Hammers after the window has shut just because his salary is being hiked by a Saudi club.
He had all summer to inform West Ham about his decision to leave and if he did not do that, the club are not going to comply.
They would want to sign a replacement if Aguerd does leave and with the window closing, that cannot be done until January.

This leaves them in a bit of a tight space, and they’re under no real financial pressure to let go of the Moroccan centre-back.
With the markets in different countries shutting at different times, there’s always the possibility of last-minute bids coming in for places.
Hopefully, Aguerd does not push for a move behind the scenes and early signs suggest that he perhaps will not be doing that.
In other West Ham news, the club have now opened advanced talks with a Premier League player who appears to be open to leaving his side this summer.
