West Ham United transfer news as moves made for Juventus attacker Filip Kostic
West Ham have come forward with more determination in recent hours to sign Juventus attacker Filip Kostic on deadline day, according to Calciomercato.
The Italian media outlet reported on Friday (1 September) that the Serie A club want a £12.8million fee for the 30-year-old Serbia international.
It’s also understood that a salary worth £40k/week is being discussed as the Hammers look to sign the left winger.

Get it done
His wages are very affordable and will not break the structure at the London Stadium – something David Moyes will not want.
The West Ham board also keep it tight and were only willing to offer crazy wages to exceptional players as they did with Declan Rice.
Kostic is 30 and does not really merit too high a package and this is roughly where he should be at once he moves to the London Stadium.

Given his age and lack of Premier League experience, there’s always a risk of him not hitting the ground running and that’s something that needs to be taken into consideration.
It remains to be seen who the striker is that the Hammers bring through the door as that’s more important than the Kostic signing as well.
Whether or not they can convince Hugo Ekitike to join and match PSG’s valuation is the big question mark but they’ll keep pushing for it surely.
In other West Ham news, the club have now opened advanced talks with a Premier League player who appears to be open to leaving his side this summer.
