Manuel Lanzini deserves to stay as West Ham United transfer news laid bare

West Ham United maestro Manuel Lanzini could be set to leave the London Stadium this summer after his father spoke out about his future, according to Claret and Hugh.

Lanzini’s father claims that the Argentine rejected numerous offers from clubs to remain at West Ham United until his contract ends in June.

Nevertheless, he also shared that it would be Lanzini’s family’s dream to see the silky playmaker play for River Plate in his home country once again.

“We are all River fans and partners. The whole family. Sitting there and seeing Manu would be a pride, to share it again even with my oldest grandson. Then here there is a problem that is social, of living in a difficult country with economic problems and insecurity, but that he puts on River’s shirt again is a dream of the whole family,” as quoted by Claret and Hugh. “In the same vein, he detailed his situation in the English club. He is in West Ham, he ends his contract in June and the club has the power to renew him for two more years. The club is excellent. I just came from Europe, he has some chances of going somewhere else, but the league is very competitive, most are public limited companies, there are no economic problems and that helps individual growth. I don’t do future, but I don’t know what the leaders of the institution will think.”

West Ham

Deserves more.

Lanzini seems to have dropped off Moyes’ radar altogether despite being one of the most rawly talented players in the Hammers’ squad.

When fit and firing most fans would agree that they’d have Lanzini in their team any day and it would be a shame to see West Ham United let him leave.

The Argentine could still be super useful within this West Ham United team and there are places for him to slot in within Moyes’ starting XI.

He could potentially be used in a double pivot sat just behind Lucas Paqueta alongside Hammers captain Declan Rice, this would be one silky engine room.

The more players with talents like Lanzini in the squad the better and with Rice’s inevitable departure looming in the summer there will be extra space in the midfield area of the Hammers team.

Unfortunately, the decision will likely come down to Moyes, who clearly isn’t Lanzini’s biggest fan but who’s to say a change of coach wouldn’t alter Lanzini’s London fate?

Dangerous in transition, technically gifted and now a veteran of the game, it would be nice to see Lanzini stay for a little while longer at West Ham.
