West Ham United transfer news as Inter Milan make progress to sign Gianluca Scamacca
Roma and Inter Milan both appear to be hot on the heels of West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca this summer, according to Corriere Dello Sport.
The Italian newspaper in its print edition claims [27 July, Page 12] that the European giants could find an agreement to sign 24-year-old very soon.
It’s understood that the deal’s progressing to sign the Italy international with Roma also keen on signing him but they want a loan with an obligation to buy.

No loans
Letting him leave, even if it’s with an obligation to buy, will not benefit the Hammers this summer.
If Scamacca is not available for next season, they need a striker of his calibre to lead the line and that’s not going to come cheap.
The club hierarchy needs to make it clear to him that he will not be allowed to leave until and unless a club is willing to match their valuation.

Scamacca was signed for big money and he just cannot be allowed to leave on loan or at a discount because of one bad season.
Hopefully, the decision makers at West Ham are smart enough to not let Inter or Roma take them for a ride this summer.
Ideally, the 24-year-old should stay and fight his way into the team rather than give up after one tough season at the club.
In other West Ham news, the club have now opened advanced talks with a Premier League player who appears to be open on leaving his side this summer.
