West Ham United transfer news as Declan Rice closes in on Manchester City move
West Ham United star Declan Rice is closing in on a move to Manchester City, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Italian Sky Sports journalist has reported that there is confidence that a transfer can be sealed for the Irons skipper, despite Arsenal’s insistence.
With that being said, Rice is now closer to a move to The Etihad in what could be a huge summer transfer in the Premier League once again for Pep Guardiola.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Di Marzio shared the latest news: “Declan Rice getting closer to Manchester City.
“Confidence to reach final agreement with West Ham.”
Wow.
This one has come out of nowhere, literally.
Although it was widely reported that Manchester City would make their move today, it was considered that Arsenal were still the favourites to land Rice.
Instead, the Irons skipper now looks set to switch the London Stadium for The Etihad and join the treble-winning giants, something which will infuriate the Gunners.
City must have blown Arsenal out of the water for that to happen, and we cannot wait to see the details behind the move with players potentially involved as well as a fee.
West Ham wanted £100million, but Kalvin Phillips is a player they also like, so could we see something that will delight all parties, as much as we can be delighted with losing Rice.
This move will no doubt break records in the Premier League for an English player, and should go above the fee paid for Jack Grealish a couple of years ago.
Rice is closing in on his West Ham exit, and although everyone was prepared for this, it certainly does not make it any easier to accept for anyone at the club.
In other West Ham news, Manchester United had made contact with their offer for Rice earlier today
