West Ham United transfer news as Corinthians striker Yuri Alberto bid breakdown clarified
Corinthians would keep 20 per cent of the value West Ham bid for Yuri Alberto had they accepted the offer for the striker, according to Globo.
The Brazilian media outlet reported on Tuesday (29 August) that due to the complicated ownership of the 22-year-old, half of the £15.4million would go to the club.
30 per cent of this would be sold as clubs in Brazil allow third-party ownership while the other half is owed to Zenit St.Petersburg.

Another bid incoming?
It remains to be seen if the Hammers do end up making another bid for the Brazilian striker as he’s understood to be a priority.
They have left things too late in the window and finding alternate targets may be a tad difficult for the club hierarchy.
Whether or not they have managed to keep the names away from the media, remains to be seen but work needs to be done quickly on new signings.

A striker has to be the priority this summer given the fact that they’ve lost Gianluca Scamacca and may possibly lose Danny Ings too.
Michail Antonio himself has been linked with an exit so these are going to be three tough days at the London Stadium.
Alberto is unproven outside Brazil and fans perhaps may want someone who’s done well in one of Europe’s top five leagues.
In other West Ham news, the club have now opened advanced talks with a Premier League player who appears to be open to leaving his side this summer.
