West Ham United transfer news as Cole Palmer offer ready for Manchester City
West Ham United are interested in bringing Manchester City forward Cole Palmer to the London Stadium this summer, according to Claret and Hugh.
The 20-year-old academy product has rapidly emerged over the last few years as one of the most exciting young players at the Premier League champions with Pep Guardiola once lauding him as a “special” talent.
The England under-21 international is highly regarded at the Etihad Stadium but has been forced into a bit-part role making just five starts in all competitions, with the Citizens fighting on all fronts this season.

And according to reliable West Ham United source Claret & Hugh [27 April], the Hammers are ready to offer a fee to Manchester City to sign him but the Blues are unwilling to see him leave at the end of the season, as they see him as a permanent successor to Kevin De Bruyne.
Promising
It’s certainly nice to see West Ham United linked with some of the best young stars in the country, having already been linked with Bristol City starlet Alex Scott too.
With the Hammers set to undergo a massive rebuild this summer, with many of their experienced stars set to depart the London Stadium, targeting much younger and hungrier players certainly seems the ideal way to go.

Palmer represents a promising and exciting proposition for the Hammers this summer, but it remains to be seen whether Manchester City and Guardiola will be willing to allow him to leave the Etihad this summer, given his standing as one of the club’s most prestigious young stars.
The 20-year-old still holds a contract in Manchester until 2026 which means if West Ham United are indeed preparing an offer for his services, it will have to be a significant one given City will certainly not allow him to go on a cheap.
Also, the Hammers will be undergoing much change on the managerial front with David Moyes most likely to depart at the end of the season, and it’s unclear who will replace him.
That uncertainty could hamper West Ham United in their transfer plans this summer, so that will need to be sorted swiftly if they are to significantly bolster their ranks for next season.
