West Ham United transfer news as Atalanta ready fee and salary for Gianluca Scamacca

Atalanta have already prepared a fee as well as a salary as they aim to sign West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca this summer, according to Tuttomercato Web.

The Italian media outlet wrote on its website on Friday (4 August) that they’re preparing to offer £26million as well as a £50k/week package.

It’s understood that the 24-year-old wants to leave London Stadium this summer.

Scamacca’s height, around 6 feet 4 inches and heading ability make him a threat in the air, both in attacking and defensive situations.

The fact that he often plays as a target man, holding up the ball well and bringing his teammates into play with his strength and ability to shield the ball from defenders, makes him a perfect striker for Moyes.

He also possesses good finishing skills, especially with his feet, allowing him to score from various positions inside the box.

However, thus far, he has struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League and that could be why he wants to leave the club.

He may be known for his hardworking nature and willingness to track back and defend from the front, but if he cannot deliver that regularly, then it makes no sense to keep him at the club.

It remains to be seen how hard Moyes fights in order to retain his services at the London Stadium for next season.

In other West Ham news, the club have now opened advanced talks with a Premier League player who appears to be open on leaving his side this summer.
