West Ham United transfer news as all parties confident for Ibrahim Osman after new twist

West Ham and Nordsjaelland are confident of agreeing a deal for Ibrahim Osman after an initial offer worth £13.8million plus add-ons was rejected, according to Ryan Taylor.

The Mirror journalist reported [24 January] that, despite the Hammers’ opening offer being rejected by the Danish club, something could be agreed once negotiations continue.

It is understood that Nordsjaelland are interested in including a sell-on clause in the deal, should West Ham decide to sell the player in the future.

Teenage sensation

Although Nordsjaelland continues to hold out for a bigger fee, there will be hope that the two parties are not separated by too many millions and a deal can be agreed soon.

With the injuries to Lucas Paqueta, Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus coming back from international duty, West Ham has struggled to perform without their star players, evident in their loss to Bristol City in the FA Cup.

David Moyes certainly has a lack of depth in his side to fall back on, making the signing of Osman vital before the transfer window closes and West Ham look to achieve a top-four finish in the Premier League and European success in the Europa League.

Osman is a teenage sensation. And although he will be a raw talent at such a young age, Kudus is a prime example of the benefits of signing “Right to Dream” academy graduates in Ghana. However, the current Hammers forward did have a spell at Ajax to develop before arriving at London Stadium.

If the club are to sell Said Benrahma this month, though, Osman could be an incredible replacement for just over £13.8million.

In other West Ham news, a new left-back is being targeted before the deadline.
