West Ham United ‘top source’ tells ExWHUEmployee about David Moyes stance

David Moyes’ job at West Ham United is currently “100 per cent” safe but things could change if results don’t improve, according to ExWHUEmployee.

The Scot has overseen a slow start to the 2022-23 season with the Irons winning just one of their first seven matches in the Premier League to leave them in the relegation zone.

There have been rumours that his job is under threat at the London Stadium but ExWHUEmployee revealed to The West Ham Way that a top source had told him otherwise.

West Ham

“The club feel this is way too early. A top source in the club who told me that there is no better man to turn round the results,” he said.

“If we continue to have poor results and fight end up fighting a relegation battle then the board will start to consider things, But for now Moyes’ position is 100 per cent safe.”

No chance

Nobody in football is ever 100 per cent safe from the sack, especially as a manager where a run of six games could easily define your entire time at any given football club.

Moyes couldn’t be further from that at the moment no matter what noises the club wants to make because there is no hiding from the fact that the start to the season has not been good enough.

Wolves will visit the London Stadium on Saturday in a similarly precarious position of having won just one game all season in the league and defeat for either side could mean curtains for the boss.

The World Cup break has made things much more difficult for managers this season and club owners are seemingly pulling the trigger much sooner with the break looming in November.

Victory on Saturday is now absolutely paramount for Moyes and West Ham and they won’t get a much better chance to do so.
