West Ham United: Tony Cascarino drools over Jarrod Bowen, he is David Moyes’ dream

Tony Cascarino has drooled over Jarrod Bowen for his impact at West Ham this season, describing him as a “manager’s dream” for David Moyes.

The 27-year-old has netted 15 Premier League goals this season, with goals in the Europa League, FA Cup and EFL Cup taking him up to 19 in all competitions, while he has also notched eight assists.

As well as lighting up the winger position, Bowen has also been utilised as an out-and-out striker, especially during Michail Antonio’s absence.

Writing for The Times on Friday (12 April), Cascarino – also a prominent talkSPORT pundit – said: “He is a manager’s dream, a great pro and the first name on your teamsheet. He runs his socks off and brings a buzz to the side, always wanting the ball.

“Bowen came from Hull City in the Championship and has been an absolute star for West Ham. He is versatile enough to have played as a winger and striker this season, and has scored from both positions.”

West Ham United desperate for Jarrod Bowen injury return

Bowen is, arguably, the most important figure at the London Stadium, considering his number of goal contributions this season.

Only Erling Haaland, Ollie Watkins, Mohamed Salah, Dominic Solanke and Cole Palmer can boast more goals than the Hammers star.

Although it is unlikely that he will win the Golden Boot with six matches remaining, Bowen will be extremely happy with his performances throughout the season. However, his latest injury will be a huge blow.

West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen
Jarrod Bowen has scored some important goals for West Ham United this season.

According to The Guardian [12 April], the winger is facing a race to be fit for the second leg against Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League, and will certainly miss the Premier League clash with Fulham on Sunday 14 April.

Lucas Paqueta and Mohammed Kudus are both incredible talents, but they both depend on Bowen’s impact to change the game. He would definitely be missed if the current injury were serious.

In other West Ham news, David Moyes has been slammed by a talkSPORT pundit for something he did in the loss to Bayer Leverkusen.
